It works just like it does for closed-ended responses. You can define correct and incorrect text responses and set up skips and jumps as if they were key codes, e.g., rt:text,cat<100,dog<101 The sample input file "retention1.csv" illustrates this function using a simple math quiz where each open ended response it evaluated as being correct or incorrect.
